MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS 

It will be Cold! Dress up in layers, winter clothing gear is a must:

• • Zero-degree or three season mummy sleeping bag with liner

  • Warm, waterproof boots 

  • Two Nalgene water bottles (no Camelbaks as the hoses freeze in these conditions)

  • Two pair of base layers/long-underwear (top & bottom). No cotton.

  • Outer layer shell/jacket & snow pants (Must be waterproof);

  • Two top mid-layers to be worn over base layers (turtlenecks, fleece). No cotton;

  • 2 pair of warm, winter hiking socks (Darn Tough, SmartWool, etc.). No cotton;

  • A pair of thin sock liners (optional)

  • Winter hat

  • Two pair of waterproof winter gloves or mittens (cold-weather gear);

  • Glove or mitten liners (optional)

  • A set of warm, comfortable clothes to change into & to sleep;

  • Comfortable footwear for the lodge (slippers with rubber treads);

  • First aid kit

  • Personal hygiene kit

  • Headlamp (with extra batteries)

  • Daypack to carry lunch/snacks & water on ski trail

  • Optional: Face/neck balaclava/mask & ski googles
