Become a Merit Badge Counselor and share your knowledge:

There are overs 135 BSA Merit badges which allow Scouts to pursue interests and learn about sports, crafts, science, trades, business, and future careers while advancing through Scouting ranks.    The Troop relies on parent volunteers to act as merit badge counselors to advise Scouts as they complete merit badges.

As you browse the list, you're bound to find some that match skills or interests that you could share with Scouts in the troop.  Choose one to get started; then you can always add more later.

Becoming a Merit Badge Counselor is easy:

STEP 1: Complete Adult Application as instructed above

STEP 2: Submit Merit Badge Counselor Form

The Troop's Advancement Chair will notify you when you are approved as a Merit Badge Counselor.
