PJB Special Projects Volunteer

508-498-3124 (cell)

We will maintain the same hours for volunteering, 9:30-1:30. The food will be given out from 11-1, or a little earlier if we are ready. Clean up will be until 1:30 as the food and tables need to be returned to the building. Volunteers will be able to go into the building for the rest rooms, and get water or snacks (there will be water bottles and a few munchies). Masks are required in the building and are highly recommended for the distribution. Gloves and hand sanitizer and wipes will be available outside and inside. Parking for volunteers will be in front of the building, under the PJB sign. That driveway will be blocked off after the volunteers have arrived, and guests will be using the parking lot and entrance for 103-105 South St. We will clearly mark the parking area, and will assign a few volunteers to assist.

We plan to set up the tables outside beginning at 9:30 am. We will bring out food, set up a registration area, and stage some food backups.

Food will include protein, veggies, dry goods, breakfast items, and beverages. We are dependent on what we can obtain, so the items always vary. We are ordering pallets of produce, so I know we will have lots of fresh food.

We will be pairing teens with adults at tables and for other tasks to make sure that the teens are being supported and mentored as they work.

I am hoping you will choose to help so please let me know. If you are attending with your family members, please be sure to let me know their names in your reply as I try to keep track. If you know of a family in need, please let me know so that we can set a time for you to “shop” for them.

Please keep an eye on the weather. April can be a winter or spring month. Our next distribution dates will be May 14th, and June 18th. I am hoping that you are available to help on those dates as well. I will send a letter like this one for each of them as a reminder. Thank you so much for all of your hard work! It means so much to so many!
