Overnight Canoe Trip on Saco River

We will meet in the CVS rear parking lot at 6:00 am on Saturday May 25 th

Scouts should eat or pack breakfast before they come.

• We will drive to Saco Bound in Conway NH
• We will canoe 10 miles on Saturday
• Camp on a sandy beach
• Canoe 12 miles on Sunday
• Camp on a sandy beach
• Will return Monday at 9:30am in time for the Memorial Day parade at 10 am

Bring your Class A uniform for the parade.

This will be patrol-style cooking so scouts can plan menus, shop, and cook as needed for rank advancement and for cooking merit badge.

This trip is open to scouts of all ages:

• The river flows at 3mph so this distance is not too strenuous.
• Each canoe will include a new scout with an older scout or Scoutmaster.
• Sets of canoes will then be paired so friends are together.

Scouts attending the Maine High Adventure trip in July are strongly encouraged to attend.
